dominant Germans (part 2)

Ok, judging from the number of visitors on my last blog post, the subject of "dominant Germans" seems to interest many of you.  Not sure what you are hoping to find though. I was not thinking much when I posted that clip from the European parliament. If  at all, lol, I have been thinking how hot it would be for me to give Nigel Farage a spanking :-)
So, if one of you knows him and can arrange a meeting for me with him, go ahead please :-)
But only, because he has got so much fire in him. He is standing there, attacking all of them, full of self-confidence and to me, it would be interesting to see his softer sides

Personally, I think the thing Max Mosley is into
(You can get an idea of it here)  is terrible. I have been in Dachau, saw the area where the concentration camp was built on. I spoke with many witnesses, My grandma told me a lot about these times back then and my grandfather was a prisoner of war in Norway for many years.

Strangely, michael m`s comment did not offend me at all. Partly because Michael is  something like an internet friend to me and partly because there is just no way for any German to defend him/herself in regards to the events of WWII. That`s just how it is. As a German, I did grow up with the knowledge that terrible things have been done by my ancestors. And if the Tommies feel that we still deserve to be punished for it, we have to accept that. I do not believe in charging one crime up against another wrong doing. As a German, after the Holocaust, we will always lose in such a summation.

From an adult kink and D/s point of view:
Spanking and the kind of domestic discipline I am interested in seems definitely to be something that is much more common in the US than it is in Germany. Almost all my contact requests are coming from men from the US. Do not know why it is like this.

  1. My grandfather served in the Luftwaffe in both wars; he served his country and he served with distinction and honour. He was a school teacher in civilian life and a sweet and gentle man, like the vast majority on both sides. You have a thicker skin than I do if you are not offended by such remarks, even made in jest.

  2. I am probably just more used to comments like Michael M. `s comment than you are... Have heard it all many, many times.

  3. Regarding the lack of interest in Germany, does your blog appear in the German language? If it's only in English, that would explain why it's mostly Americans who respond to you.

  4. Your response is gracious. Michael M's comment was amazingly condescending and self-righteous. Because it was such an over the top, self indulgent outburst, it wouldn't surprise me if he thought he was flirting.

I respect Max Mosley for enjoying his fantasies (I think he could have been a lot more prudent, but whatever). His sexual triggers are completely out of step with his time and place and especially embarrassing considering his family history. But he's not letting that stop him! It reminds me of some submissive women who have written about feeling guilty for being bad feminist because they're turned on by being dominated. Hopefully, they work through it. I'm happy for everyone who successfully navigates a conflict between their values and their fantasies. More and more people seem to be getting that the two are separate, at least for most of us they're separate. If I remember right, there were more giggles and eye rolls than genuine outrage when the Mosley story came out.

It might not be as popular as in the US, but there's this website: http://lausboyspanking.blogspot.com and there's a poster (or two) on spankingtube.com located in Germany. Maybe there just isn't a critical mass of people on line talking about it in other languages, and so no one does. But that all said, domestic discipline is probably more popular in the U.S. and the U.K. than elsewhere. The prostitutes in France called it 'le vice Englais' for a reason...

  5. I've been thinking about your question about F/m in our 2 countries.

Theory 1. Women have always had an exalted status in US. Euro and other foreign visitors have remarked upon it for centuries.

For a long time, men outnumbered women. Settlement of a 3 million square mile howling wilderness populated by some of the fiercest Stone Age warriors in history was done by isolated groups of families.

US settler women were revered as "Madonnas of the Plains" by the most hard-bitten men, married or not.

In a dangerous, hard environment, where death lurked everywhere, women were connected with Life, Children, Home, Food, and Love.

That may be true everywhere. But in the early US into 19th C, women often represented the only Warmth & Security most men had. Even if they were prostitutes.

In the growing cities, women controlled a large part of cultural life. Quaker women were Ministers.

This is too brief. I recommend the book "Albion's Children", There are other good books.

Abraham Lincoln: "All I am, or ever hope to be, I owe to my sainted mother".

  6. @Tom: there is no german version. But honestly, I am looking for men who are smart enough to understand English.Should not be a problem. English is taught in all schools here.
@ajr: as for Max M: your line of argument sounds ok. Only, again, for me as a german, it still does not seem to be the right thing to do.
I am not saying there is no scene in Germany at all. There are like minded people out there. But not many.
    @Richard: interesting theory.

  8. I'll admit that as a British guy, I found German women very confusing when I first arrived in Germany. I often misinterpreted their self-assurance, acerbic humour and direct ways as dominance. Unfortunately it wasn't always the case

  9. Hi Tina:

If this blog was in German you would have very few men from the U.S. responding to it. We Americans are ignorant of foreign languages and other cultures in general. We couch our ignorance beneath a boorish veneer of patriotic jingoism. That is especially true of Republicans.

I am not surprised that American men are fascinated with German dominant mystique. Quite a bit of excellent BDSM porn comes from Germany. German erotica is especially wonderful for it's depiction of corporal punishment and leather fetishism. I always felt it had too many gas masks in it though. I am not a gas mask enthusiast. Many Americans were also influenced by trashy B movies like "Ilsa She Wolf Of The SS." We love a woman in uniform. Childish I know but there you have it.

Unfortunately (fortunately?) I did not read Michael's comments so I have no comment on those.

  10. @hmp Michaels comment is still there-he made it in regards to my dominant germans part 1 post. he said;
"No we are not. I am sure you are warming up the ovens again but we fought and beat you into a pulp twice and we will do so again, so don't get any smart ideas Kraut."

  12. Having been raised in the US by my very dominant German mother (and grandmother), I'm well aware of how dominant some German women are. My wife is pretty dominant also, she just chooses to not reveal that side of herself to most people. I think Michael M's comments were way out of line, he does not sound like someone I'd want to participate on a blog if I had one. I enjoy your blog, you've been through a lot of changes the last year or so, I'll continue to follow your blog from time to time.

  13. Hi Tina:

Roger Stone a former aid to Richard Nixon once summed up the Republican political strategy thus; “Politics is not about uniting people it’s about dividing people. Get your fifty-one per cent! Attack, attack, attack—never defend! Admit nothing, deny everything, launch counterattack!” Unfortunately the Republicans have taken those marching orders to heart and have done a great deal to divide (and destroy) our American democracy.

I don't wish to clog your lovely blog with partisan bickering. I usually don't bother arguing politics on the Internet because it's a waste of time and energy. Tom is merely mouthing phrases he has been taught to repeat by the Republican propaganda machine (Fox News et. al) . Republican Tea Party types are very predictable. Personal attacks against anyone who disagrees with them are to be expected.

On the other hand "fatuous cretin" is kinda catchy. I'm thinking of having t-shirts made up! ;-)

  14. I dont mind talking politics here on my blog. Just keep the comments comming. :-)

I think it does not come as a surprise if I tell you that I tend to lean towards the Democrats much more than to the Republicans. But I love watching Bill oReily, lol. I am kind of jealous of his ability of seeing the world in such black and white pictures. For me, most of the time things are pretty grey.

As for Michael M´s comment: I really dont know what triggered him writing such a comment. I was hoping he would explain to us what made him "lose it" like that, but no such luck. Again: Michael has showed other sides of his persona many times. Thats why I give him some emotional credit.

As for german porn: It just does nothing for me. I rarely see a german clip that really turns me on. There are many dungeon scenes, but that is just not my coup of tea. Girls in uniform... hmmmmm..I understand that this might "interest" some of you. But it does nothing for me. I like men in uniform, thats for sure, lol. But german men in uniform? Nahhh, not hot at all. This might be due to the fact that being in the military is not considered to be a very honorable thing in Germany. For many years only very "strange" german men would stay in the military one second longer as they had to do their compulsory military service.

  15. Tina, you might want to try watching MSNBC, for foaming-at-the-mouth hatred and paranoid self-righteousness. Your Democratic leanings will not be contradicted in any way, since no opposition voice is tolerated on that channel.

  16. Tina, perhaps you have heard of the classical rhetorical device of "praeteritio", which means pretending to abstain from comment on something and then proceeding to comment. So the cretin says he does not want to clog your lovely blog with partisan bickering, and then proceeds to engage in partisan bickering, using the hackneyed device of claiming Fox News is the real author of my comments. A tired and tiresome tactic, used by people without any mental resources.

  17. Sigh...could we maybe agree on the fact that all of us think that the term "fatuous cretin" is kinda catchy. ;-)

I might be a fantastic, smart, beautiful, intelligent and hot woman, but even I can not find a solution to the ongoing fight between Republicans and Democrats...

  18. I think Tina that the US would be better off with a parliamentary system,in which one party has both executive and legislative responsibility, can make decisions, and will be thrown out of office if the decisions are bad. Also,in such a system the PM tends to be experienced, having held other cabinet or shadow cabinet posts. We have had three successive presidents with almost no relevant experience - Clinton, Bush II, and Obama.

  19. I Served in Germany 🇩🇪 twice, first at 18 was based in Berlin, our barracks was right next door to Spandau Prison, the guards at spandau were for 72 hours, stayed in guardroom when not on stag. When on stag up in a tower over looking where the guillotine was housed was pretty spooky at 3 in morning for an 18 year old. The second time several years later I was in Osnabruck and this time did 4 years there. Being half Norwegian I found food and some other things more similar to Norway 🇳🇴. I feel in Love with a beautiful German girl (who's father didn't like British Soldiers)...unfortunately language barrier etc meant we didn't tell each other what we felt about each other and it ended. Years later I found her and we talk a lot ....one thing she asked me was ..would my Norwegian family have accepted her ..I said well they would have grown to love her because I did ....but to my Grandmother (Mormor) we would have had to say she was Swiss to begin with ...
